Natural Dye Garden in the making ♥

Something borrowed, something blue...
After working in many gardens over the years, October 2024 I was lucky enough to start one that I could really call ‘my own’. I decided to get to know it first, by observing it in all seasons.
2025

Index & Structure
2025’s focus was restructuring the garden and indexing the plants. The only dye plants introduced were Calendula, Woad and Goldenrod, because it turned out to be very abundant already ♥︎.
2026

Redefining ‘Dye Plants’
In 2026 I’m going to start making natural inks from the plants in(- and outside) my garden. Some being traditional ‘dye plants’, others personal favorites.

Corresponding list in Dutch, mainly to index the plants in my garden de Wilde Weelde: the ones already present, the ones I would like to add and the ones I’d rather not.

*Because of my project with Voedselbos Mariahoeve, I used the layering of a Food Forest to categorise the different types of plants, but the (possible) dye plants are listed seperately.
